Bring your own favorite passage!

The writing that has engaged you with its wit, insight, and originality can be now heard by others in your own voice! Each participant who wishes to do so is invited to read aloud from a favorite passage by any author in any genre. Choose fiction, nonfiction, history, biography, philosophy, journalism, poetry, an essay, a letter or libretto, a speech, an owner's manual, an aphorism...

Your selected paragraph, stanza or fragment should take two minutes or less to read aloud. Ideally, the author's work should be generally available so that interested others can follow up. There will be discussion and possibly a second round so please bring more than one excerpt if you can.

Participants are NOT required to read a passage.   Some participants may prefer just to comment on the readings or to simply listen in.

Thanks to “John from Ohio,” for suggesting this topic and providing the wording for it (which we have mostly adopted.)

PFC Monthly discussion groups are open to all - if the topic interests you, you'll be welcome! Discussion is moderated but informal - speak up as much or little as you wish.

This is our 3rd monthly discussion group.  Please feel free to submit discussion topics to: info@pghfreethought.org

RSVP to receive the meeting link.
