Examined Lives:
Thinking together about things that matter with philosopher Andy Norman
Topic:
What will the post-covid world look like?
The great coronavirus pandemic of 2020 has sent shock waves through social systems all over the globe. Close to 20 million have been infected, and over 700,000 have died. Economic activity has plummeted, and political fortunes have reversed. Small businesses are shuttering, and governments are borrowing heavily. More people are telecommuting, billions feel deprived of social contact, a key contributor to mental health. What’s happening to the social fabric? What will the world look like a year from now, and what can we do to make it better?
