This month's topic is focused on the issues surrounding the question(s) of on-line privacy and the collection of our personal data by by the tech giants. We've all seen the disclaimers that read something like "By continuing past this page you agree that we have the right to own every bit of information about you" - or something like that. But do they really have the legal right to hold our information and data hostage to the ubiquitous presence of their service(s)? What about the ethical questions? How much culpability do we, the users, have in enabling them to collect this data?

PFC Monthly discussion groups are open to all - if the topic interests you, and you wish to engage in rational and/or evidence-based dialogue, you'll be welcome! Discussion is moderated but informal - speak up as much or little as you wish.

Discussion topics are announced in advance of the event and are chosen for their controversy or differences of opinion around the subject.
