Virtually every culture/society in the history of mankind (and womankind) has or has had some form of theistic religion. This begs the question - Is religiosity or the need for religion something that is innate to our human DNA? Or is it a social construct that we have created to fulfill some other innate need or needs? Or is that the same thing? And can we fulfill those needs without the supernatural trappings?
